At bedtime, sit for a moment to take stock of your day and review how you are feeling. Acknowledge this, and remind yourself ‘all is well’.
How are you? Is the start of 2016 proving to be healthy so far? Have you set some achievable goals to set you off on the right track?
All to often we start the year with good intentions but frequently the targets we set are well out of our reach, leaving a feeling of disappointment and failure.
Be realistic about what you can really fit into your week and tell the world so that they can support you.
I am now 39 days into running at least 1 mile every day and I am still loving it. For me there is never a reason where I can’t go out and run for 8 (ish) minutes. I can never say “I don’t have the time” as 8 minutes is a tiny amount within a 24 hour day. My 5 year old son has joined me on his bike, my “soon to be” 9 year old daughter has joined me on her own two feet. It is a great opportunity to spend 1-2-1 time with them and get fit at the same time.
Can you take the longer route to or from the school drop off?
Can you walk to the shop instead of getting in the car?
Can you put on some music, go crazy and dance around the room?
Find what works for you and at the end of the day be proud of your achievements, no matter how small.
Have a great week.
