Exercise? Do you need someone to hold your hand?

hand holding

“Every goal first started as something in our mind. You have it all within you!” – Deborah Day,

When I was a lot younger, and thinking how life would be with a child/children, one of the images that would often appear in my mind was walking along a street holding a little hand (notice how I had completely missed out the sleepless nights and dirty nappy stage).

Such a lovely feeling, this small hand holding on tight knowing that they are safe and being taken somewhere by someone that they trust and believe in.

You may wonder where I am going with this, and rightly so but there is a connection to exercise and particularly with my client base. I am absolutely suited to the person who is new or maybe just a little bit intimidated by exercise and the usual class/gym environment. I am generally based at Southcote and here you will not be faced with a bank of treadmills staring at you when you walk in the door, in fact you may be surprised by how little equipment there actually is in there.

Your goals will be listened to, but so will your concerns and worries with regard to adhering to a regular exercise programme, and then I will hold your hand (don’t panic, not literally) as you start your own individual journey to a healthier way of life.

I am in a unique position as part of the Southcote Proactive Healthcare team, you may already be seeing one of the various practitioners within the clinic (massage, reflexology, chiropractic, hypnotherapy, life and career coaching – this list goes on) and having built up trust with this person if they then recommend that you exercise within the centre you are more likely to listen to their advice.

So, what are you waiting for, come in and say hi or email me emma@emmafitness.co.uk to arrange a time to come and chat.

I look forward to meeting you or a friend/colleague that you have recommended in the very near future.

Have a great week.
